During its second performance management review in Youngstown, Ohio, it was announced that the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute – aka NAMII – was being re-branded as America Makes. This was a defining moment for the additive institute as it describes the action-oriented focus and mission for the institute specifically and the subsequent national network as a whole.
Present at the meeting to show his support of the new America Makes identity and represent the expanding 3D desktop printing industry and community was Bre Pettis, CEO of MakerBot.
