Last week we put together a list of some of the STEM based scholarships available for students across the country pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and math based fields. One scholarship in particular has us especially excited– the Gene Haas Foundation’s scholarship designated for a student pursuing a degree in a post-secondary machining, manufacturing technology or engineering program whose curriculum includes CNC machine technology training.
Gene Haas announced this exciting news with us at the IMTS 2014 Smartforce Student Summit, where current high school seniors were, at that very moment, learning how they could further their STEM education and pursue careers in machining, manufacturing technology, and engineering. By announcing the scholarship at the Smartforce Student Summit, the Gene Haas Foundation demonstrated to those very same students that there are people all over the country rooting for and supporting them, as the future of manufacturing.
Seniors graduating from high school this school year will be eligible. So, class of 2015, click here for more information on how the Gene Haas Foundation can help make your dream a reality.
